Absman Blabs, Man

Rockwell’s lovely. Wendt needs to be athletic but he’s the tech geek. This guy looks great.

I agree with your analysis of the Alphas. I would add that Joe, who has only known privilege, is almost the reluctant hero. Look what he’s taken on!

He honestly is! I’m really excited to see how the scene of the 4 Alphas in the same room plays out in Chapter 20! I’m also very excited to see what the results of Sheriff’s conversion and more of enthralled Snake!

Looking forward to how that scene plays out. Also looking forward to the raid on the farm.

When I read the outline teaser Tully and Scientist escape I was honestly thinking they escaped from the raid going horribly wrong yet erotically perfect.

Has Bowden created a perimeter of penis possies around the farm? Will a cloud of pollen stop up the best air respirator?

This is all assuming, of course, that the military tries a ground assault, and doesn’t just carpet bomb the farm. I know that’s what I would do if I was told that there was a farm full of gay supermen with alien symbionts in their balls, who were planting even more of those same plants.

True. I still think the government is trying to turn the situation so they can control this power and form a weapon.

Military brass and government officials know all about measuring dicks.

Here’s that plot page without the blur.

ParadoxBear you wouldn’t walk in waving a pair of whitey tighties as a surrender flag? Wouldn’t be a POW for long.

I mean, I would. But I’m willing to bet it’s not going to be as simple as the troops showing up, dropping trough thanks to a ton of pollen in the air, and running into the fields to get Implanted.

The general seems pretty ready to wash his hands of the mess. I think he’s going to try to avoid a repeat of the Lt. and the others. He’s probably going to want to try and keep his distance.

I think it was the Sheriff’s plan along to let the FBI and government to wipe out the farm and let him start his own force remaining under the radar as long as possible.
If the raid went wrong then that just means more pollination overall.

Oh absolutely, I think that was pretty explicit. Let the military and FBI take out Bowden and his “inferior” Hosts, hope that Tully keeps her promise long enough to let him and the Deputy get a head-start escaping somewhere so that they can start the Repopulation in a more subtle way. Of course, things haven’t gone quite according to plan, but I have a feeling the Deputy will honor the logic of the Sheriff’s plan, even if he’s not letting Lane call the shots.

It’s clear that the Repopulation can’t involve an obvious mass migration of muscle men to a single, vulnerable position. If it’s going to work, it needs to be much more subtle…

Very true. The military calling an air strike on US soil won’t sit well even in a rural area. I think of the Waco raid going wrong.
I believe it was Einstein that said there are limits to genius but no limits to stupidity.

Maybe Murdock would have been better hiding in plain sight like West Hollywood or San Francisco. what ifs…

I’ve kind of been in love with Collin Simpson the past couple of months. Even if we don’t cast him as one of our current characters, I would be more than happy to envision him as a possible new character in Book Three…

Found a better picture without the need for a link to Twitter.

Looks like he has been cutting lately. His scenes with Reese Rideout are hot.
Maybe he is one of the Rabbits.

Or seeing him pop out of the variant super plant in Book 3 would be perfect.

Assuming, of course, that the Variants are still around come Book Three? Yeah, I would be down for that! Maybe he could be “Victor,” the ultimate, possibly unstoppable Variant!

Like the Victor idea. Our landscape architect is open to ideas.

Here’s to hoping the flowers are perennials and not annuals.

Like I said upthread, I have an idea for how Absman could address how the Hosts deal with the winter. I’m going to hold off on posting it until after Book Two is complete, because it may not even be possible and I might need to adjust some of the description of it to adjust for a possible body-count, but I personally think it’s a really hot, fun idea. Plus it includes a fun new variant of the plants for some extra weirdness!
