We’ve wrapped up another story challenge on the site, and a big congrats to the authors who helped make this Halloween contest such a blast! I know I definitely had some favorite stories this Halloween which, regardless of the popular vote, won my vote… We had some great entries this year. Let’s use this thread to share our enthusiasm for the stories we loved in this round — for both the Top 5, and the many other fantastic stories!
Thanks PhilipK and congrats on your story’s win! It was such an entertaining, erotic, and FUNNY story!
And thanks to everyone who favorited and ranked mine, I’m so excited to have placed second! I appreciate this community and the positivity, feedback, and encouragement I’ve received .
What’s really spooky is how you keep winning, @PhilipK .
If you keep this up, people get discouraged by your sheer competence and talent for writing hot stories… Just kidding of course, I couldn’t be more happy and proud to have you on board!
And of course congratulations abnd thanks to all other contestants, too.
I haven’t had the time to read much lately, but I know I’m going to enjoy a lot of those stories in the time to come.
Congrats Philip and Max! I always enjoy participating in these contest to see what kinds of stories win. I also like participating in them to challenge myself.
Yeah I loved your story! I always enjoy a good Goosebumps riff, and it feels perfect for a Halloween tale. And you managed to take our expectations around the original disturbing Goosebumps ending and flip it around, so that the story’s sweet and erotic ending felt extra potent. It was great!
Yeah! The challenge of the format is always a big appeal for me too… And I really liked your approach for this one. I thought that doing an alternative ending was really clever — we got two bangs for one buck!
You know, I have started wondering if I should stop participating in the contests, to be honest. But thank you! (And I hope the move has been going well!!)
I appreciate the kind words, @sqneemie. Well, I will have to think about it… I’ll admit I worry that people who might object to it may not feel comfortable saying so. But I may be overthinking it.
Yes, you are overthinking. You keep winning, because you’re simply very good, not because you’re the curator of the challenges. It would be a loss for us all if you’d stop writing stories for the challenges!
