New rules: Limit for published stories

Bravo on the reality check. I am glad to see these rules put in place to protect the integrity of the site, and to ensure it is not overwhelmed with poor content that no one actually bothered to write.

I usually wait a week before I submit the next chapter. So, if I submitted something on a Wednesday, I won’t submit the next chapter until the next Wednesday. I do it for two reasons. First, I’m not the only fish in the sea. I know that the people who are looking at stories have a lot on their plate and other people should get their chance to submit. Second, I want to give the maximum amount of time to readers to enjoy each chapter and the fun of anticipating the next one. That’s just me. I am not criticizing or commenting on anyone else. I’m just saying what I usually do.

I got hit with the delay on publication notice when I hit publish on my latest chapter, despite the fact that I haven’t published anything else on this site for a couple months.
I think this is related to my having saved three unpublished chapters of the series on the site yesterday without having hit the publish button on any of them yet, simply so that I could get the work of titling, writing descriptions, and adding tags to each of them knocked out at once.
I’m not angry with being unable to publish ASAP or anything, I just pushed back the scheduled publish date for that initial chapter to next week since I prefer to publish chapters on a Monday.
But I wanted to report this as a potential issue with the flagging system just so that it could have the chance to be addressed in the future.

That’s definitely a strange case. See my direct answer to you.
