Hey , over time I am thinking of phasing out : deleting some of my 2025 stories that were AI assisted under my “Glennyboi” username . starting 2026 with a fresh start , without generative AI for better or for worse .
The story about the AI ignoring the prompts was ironically my most popular story though not one of my favourites, there was also a lot of ideas offered to carry the story on, but I felt like I couldn’t be authentic if I had tried to incorporate them .
I wondered if there was anyone that would like to take this story and give it a polish / rewrite / or re interpretation , or even just repost , then my version can be deleted?
Like, you do you, it’s your work, but there’s no point “binning the steak” for the guilt of the already butchered cow.
If you’ve had success with AI prompting, but now you want to move on, you can still do that, and leave your past work (especially if people get enjoyment from it) as it is.
I’ll be honest buddy, a big part of it was feeling like people might not give my newer stories a chance if they see old ones had AI assistance, even though I did put in as much work In to them at the time . I Don’t think it seems to matter anyway , I’ve got my own small group of readers who favourite and rank consistently and I love and am grateful for every one of them
