I seem to remember polling done at NCMC for a brief time when one first entered the site, something like 10 years ago. Am I making this up? Would anyone be interested? I always wonder where my demographic falls into play here.
Another tidbit…Whenever I have looked at polling for erotica in general, it is always unanimously women who dominate literary porn. I only ever read porn. I never watch it. Am I alone here?
What kind of polling do you have in mind? What would be the questions?
NCMC quit around 17 years ago. GSS started in 2015.
Honestly I remember it being age ranges and countries of origin, but if anyone wants to join in here and craft something cool I’d be interested to hear their thoughts. How many bears, twinks, twunks, and otters we got on here anyways?

Country of origin can already kind of seen from the statistics: System Stats - Gay Kinky Stories
Select “Location” or “Language” in the drop down selector under “Statistics”
As for any other things, go ahead and suggest them.
I think it might be interesting to do a poll on most popular kinks/types of stories or most popular site branch in the GKS universe. Sometimes you can tell through what tags are commonly included in stories or in the site’s stats, but it would be interesting to see specific people’s votes since they’re always a mix of tags.
It might be hard to narrow down that first category enough to fit into a poll, but it could be done. Maybe even just by doing the most popular tags and basing the categories off story types that include those tags.
Gender could be good if the survey results will be anonymous! Sexuality as well. Not sure the best way to poll either, but I can look into it.
