Mafisto’s post was really a godsend for me because he discussed many of the issues that were on my mind. So, it’s a big help in how to move forward. But I do have some lingering questions.
One of the major stories that got me interested in writing for this site is Hypnobedient’s Ordinary Joe. It’s always been on my writing to do list to develop a story with Joe helping other people to be slaves like him. While I’m more than willing to reach out to Hypnobedient to get his permission, there’s no contact information to do so. While I’m not ready to write a story in the Ordinary Joe universe yet, how should I proceed when I’m ready to do so?
This seems to boil down to three things: the motivation behind writing and posting stories, the reasons behind discontinuing a story, the question of when a story actually ends.
I can only speak for myself and my stories. I took up writing to combat my poor literacy levels (left school with no qualifications and a reading age of nine), so this site has been a playground where I could develop and get feedback to avoid being held back. The reason so many of my stories are ‘incomplete’ is that I get poor feedback, lose interest or find that things are getting repetative. Finally stories really only end if all the characters get killed in a car crash or freak accident.
For these reasons I am happy for anyone to continue any of my stories whenever they wish. After all they are posted under a handle and linked to an anonymous email account, so no one but me actually knows who wrote them!
The best way is to write a comment to one of their stories. Comments are automatically notified to the email address they used when they posted the story.
I have to be honest, chances that this is read and reacted on are slim. I would personally prefer to handle this more liberal, but the backlash was proof enough that author’s can be quite protective of their work.
And in the end, the authors are what these sites are keeping alive.
I’ll probably set my stories to open world, mainly cos I think with themes like ABDL there might be people that like the story idea but not necessarily a fan of the kinks I’ve used so I’m more than happy to allow anyone who wants to put their own spin on any stories I’ve done to do so
Went back there and I actually posted a comment saying I was interested in writing a story in the universe. But I guess the strategy is to write again and be more explicit in the request.
