⚠️ Stripe is banning GKS

Such bs

I’m told PayPal doesn’t support NSFW.

You could still offer SEPA. Some people may not care.

What a hassle.

Does that mean that Sponsus is no longer allowing NSFW content? Or are they just a thin wrapper over Stripe and they don’t care?

I know The Screaming Moist uses Subscribestar. They seem NSFW friendly, but I don’t know if they are any cheaper / easier than anything else you’ve looked it.

onlyfans also seems like they’d work, although I have no idea about their cost. Onlyfans would be a positive from my perspective because I’m already on it.

Sponsus went out of business three years ago. Back then, I integrated Stripe directly.

Verotel just denied my application. They sent me a list of offensive 151 words. Basically, half of our tags.

So we’re back at step one.

Subscribestar is not a good option either. I don’t like to be dependent on such a service anymore.

Thanks to whoever reported the site, top notch work.

My sentiment exactly. The timing suggests it was done to punish Corin for a decision they didn’t like. The only thing it accomplished was to punish the community by threatening the site’s existence and highlight even more how much the site all depends on Corin’s generosity in terms of time and money as he might have to take on the costs all by himself for a while.

Once again, people doing the least in terms of effort trying to strong-arm those who do the most with asshole moves. Parasites.

Allegedly.

Just a quick point on the maths… you’d need to add ~18% to fully cover the fees, as fees will also be charged on the additional amount.

For example, if you want to donate 100 after the fees…

100 - 15% = 85

115 - 15% = 97.75

117.8 - 15% = 100.13

Not to sound like a finance bro but would you entertain the use of cryptocurrency? Particularly stablecoins, such as USDT, which is pegged to currencies – like the US dollar.

I was thinking of that myself. I have a suspicion that we’d have trouble getting people to buy in to it though. Not only that but we may run into similar issues with the major exchanges.

I tried to pay for things with crypto and it got my credit card suspended twice and i had to waste an hour each time to get it back. They were just “concerned”.

I don’t have anything useful to add as far as options, but thank you for doing all this work. Happy to continue helping how/wherever I can. Fun times

I second this, thank you so much Corin for all the work you do, it can’t be easy and there isn’t enough gratitude to give you some days.

If you we get money per view of the banner ads, is it possible for me to voluntarily turn them back on despite my sponsor status?

And honestly, I don’t need the email notifications. I can turn them off too if it helps keep the bills down.

No, actually, the ads only earn us money if you register on that game after clicking on the ad on our page and then spending money in the game.

But that’s really something you should only consider if you like this kind of gatcha games. I’ve played it for a while myself, and it’s fun, but it’s also a money pit if you’re not careful.

So, unless you truly enjoy playing it, I don’t want to suggest using it to give us money. Even though they’re quite generous (they pay out 50% of the gross income they make from any person who has registered through our ad back to us).

The truth is, however, that we sustain on the income of those ads right now. I’m just afraid that it might not be able to cover the expenses in the long run, as it’s getting less and less each month.

P.S.: The emails are not expensive to send.
