I’m not a native English speaker, so no matter how much work I put into a story, my language skills will always be a little limited and awkward sounding for the native eyes.
I’ve been using Grammarly to fix the most obvious grammar mistakes, but this tool doesn’t fix unusual phrasing and stuff like that. Also, the version that does try to find better phrases is quite expensive (30$/month).
I’m not looking for an AI to write my story, the idea, structure, pacing, tone and even style etc. should all be mine, but I want the AI to fix language and phrasing problems.
I would think by now there’s an AI-based tool that doesn’t invent stories for you, but takes an existing story and tries to improve its language and phrasing without altering the text too much. Also, it should be able to cope with smut content, of course
I tried to look around, but the only things I find are the usual NSFW ai text generators, which are not what I’m looking for…

Use prompts like: “Improve this text, don’t change it too much. Use simple language, not flowery. [[ text ]]”
This is very unstable tech and the results are often not that good. But it can inspire you. Also you can ask it questions like “Should I say hardon or hard-on?” or “give me ten names for a guy starting with a D” Or “list 10 synonyms for cock”.
Actually, I went ahead and asked Copilot the same question. It suggested HyperWrite and Sudowrite. So far I’ve only looked at Sudowrite - but I haven’t spent too much time on it yet. It looks quite elaborate.
The problem with those is that they use ChatGPT and won’t work with NSFW. It gets extremely frustrating that the US puritan values get so much in the way, where sex is treated as “unsafe” as teaching someone who to build a bomb.
I tell you, it is completely absurd but this obsession with the people at OpenAI “aligning” AI and biasing it to tell us what we can write or not is toxic. There’s nothing more frustrating than being told that it’s not nice to do x and y by an AI.
