Can I get my former forum account back?

Hello! I had an email exchange with Corin on November 3rd on my Proton mail account (ogldog@proton.me) regarding consolidating multiple accounts on the site. Corin got me set up with one account with my username “HypnoMutt” and my email shoremutt@yahoo.com.

I seem to recall that when I logged into the site at that time, my user account was the same on the story side and the forum side, and I was able to see my forum history. Today, I logged in to the forum for the first time since then, and I’m seeing a brand new account under my real name “Joe_Smith” with no history of posts or comments.

Is it possible to get my old forum account back? There are a lot of useful comments and replies to posts I’ve made here about writing and the creative process, and I’d hate to lose access to what’s saved there.

Yes, that’s actually possible!

At some point, the forum software learned the capability to move all posts and data from one account to another. I didn’t even know that. I learned about this when I looked for a solution for you.

Now, everything you’ve done in the forum as ogldog should be transferred to this new account. Let me know if it worked!
