Considering the uncertainties around digital copies of smut stories, I’m looking into getting my stories bound into physical books. Not for resale, just my own copies in case something dramatic happens and things disappear online or from a Google account or become inaccessible from my country. I have a lot of sex story content–both here and in other places–and would be sad to lose those works.
I’m not sure how to find a source for getting this done, however. I’m a bit hesitant to send kink-driven stories to a commercial publisher, and I imagine that they have content restrictions that probably my longest stories wouldn’t clear. I’ve thought about looking for an Etsy bookbinder or something similar, but don’t know much about that world or how to find one who will be “down”, so to speak. Don’t want to shock a sweet midwestern woman out of her herb garden and book bindery with my filth.
I’d probably need a service/person who would be willing to do multiple volumes–there’s too much for one book, I think. I’d want a fairly nice-looking binding job but it doesn’t have to be outrageously fancy.
The funny thing is that my brother is an amateur bookbinder but I can’t ask him about it because he’ll offer to do it himself–and we can’t send incest-themed kink stories to our brothers, can we? I have to keep seeing these people.
Does anyone have any information, contacts, or experience in kink-friendly binding services? Any suggestion or resource is appreciated.
