Quick question to all the readers out there: Do you like it when a smut author has a “universe” of their smut? Basically:
I am asking this since I would like to make my story “Mothercucker” part of a bigger whole eventually. ESPECIALLY with how the concept of “TabooVision” is introduced as a big organization/corporation.
I’m a huge fan of what ONIX did with the Damien Vaughn stories.
It’s so much fun when that happens! A little wink to the reader it’s always appreciated.
There was a series of fantasy novels called “Thieve’s World” a while back. Different writers were invited to contribute and use each other’s characters and settings, but there were strict rules about what you could have them do. You couldn’t make a major change to a character or have them do something that would be out of character for them, without the creator’s permission. They also had a series editor, who steered the overall storyline.
So yeah, it would be cool to have a smut universe, just bear in mind some of the extra legwork you’d have to do.
