Was wondering what it means where it says ignored in grey ? I see it doesn’t include it in the total , but curious as to why it’s excluded ? Is it because it’s deemed to be by a troll or not genuine?
In many cases yes, site admin can see the averages for how any user votes, so things out of the norm are sometimes blocked, it also happens most frequently in contests, where unfortunately some users try to manipulate the results by flagging multiple stories 1 star or less.

Ahh ok thanks for clarifying , I did wonder as there also seems to be one user who votes 1/ 1.5 star or less the first chapter of every story I do but it’s in grey .

We automatically drop the lowest rating on stories (as well as the highest rating, once there are enough ratings) and have an algorithm to ignore ratings that seem like ‘trolls’. So either of those could be it.

Ah ok . Yeah it tends to be first chapters with the most ratings , but did think it was strange the person who gave it the low votes only did the first three but didn’t bother leaving ratings for idea or writing . Which is odd . I won’t let it bother me
