Happy New Year!! Glad to make it to another year and already seeing a story that is interesting to read. So things bode well for the year so far.
I’m reaching out to get some ideas on the subject in the title. Willing subjects are more where my head is at, but I’m somewhat at a loss for how to present the willing subject’s transformation into a slave. So I’m putting this out to the community to get some ideas. So if you were writing a story with a willing subject falling under mental control, how would you approach it?

This is, probably, a useless idea but I’ll say it anyway 
, when I think of a willing subject, maybe it’s someone who needs a distraction or an escape from something or someone. The person or thing offering that escape / distraction pulls them deeper into what the subject wants until it becomes their obsession/their everything. It could be just the subject or you could have the person doing the mind control wanting the same thing, so they end up taking each other deeper?
No idea if thats any help x

Or I guess another approach could be to help with Inhibitions or fears ? Like the subject wanting to be mind controlled by someone they are attracted to?

This is an interesting story type! I’ve seen it done a few ways before. I’ll talk about two of my favorites that did it. One was extremely fantastical where a guy was approached on the street by someone who wanted to help him be less stressed in life, so he used a magic faucet to remove sadness from the guy’s mind. From there, the guy was more open to wanting him to remove other things or add things, so they played around and made him a slave removing intelligence, anger, adding more obedience, arousal, etc.
another story I really liked that included a willingness to obey was about a guy who went to see a therapist who had made a man his pet. It described the way that the pet looked and how the doctor treated him, while talking about how the main character thought it was really hot. It was completely of his own volition to become one of the doctor’s thralls, but by seeing how the other man was treated and how much he enjoyed servitude, it made him agree to do it.
I hope these helped in some way. I’d say the latter example is more repeatable than the first one! I’d also add that depending on the method of control, focusing on how good they feel and describing that would probably be the best way to approach it. How their mind feels as it’s being altered, how completely mesmerized they are, what they’re looking forward to doing when they’re controlled fully, etc.

Thank you Glennyboi and Subdominant for your responses; they do help make sense of things. I guess I should reveal what has me pondering things. So if you’re following my stories, you know that I’m authoring Our Boys in Uniform, my fan-fiction story in Swizz’s Slave Academy. The willing subject in that story is Raul, the lead student on the Cod Cove side of the roster. His willing transformation into a cadet slave of Todd just involves him putting on the winter uniform of West Point and then going out into formation. The Todd Mathews of Our Boys in Uniform is the white hat/Glenda the Good version and the image of the willing subject under him came easy. But with the black hat/Wicked Witch of the West version of Todd Matthews came the problem. It’s hard to see what evil Todd would do with someone who’s willingly volunteering to slavehood. I guess it’s a question of how would Todd get his rocks off someone who willing bends the knee to him. So that’s really where the question of the willing subject is coming from.
I see, so it seems like it’s more from a dominant POV rather than the slave’s perspective directly. I’d say it all depends on what you think he’d get off on like you said. You could take it a degrading route, like talking down to him for giving in so easily once Todd finds out he submitted willingly and make him do his bidding accordingly. I’d also say it depends on how the rest of the cadets were enslaved.
A way you could take it that might be a little out there but could still be hot is having Todd give him little to no attention as a slave to see how far he’s willing to go without being programmed. If Todd saw how dedicated Raul was, maybe it would give him a special rank among the others or cause him to officially transform/add him to the ranks. I’ve read Swizz’s original Slave Academy, but I should probably read your fan story to get the full picture. These were just my thoughts from the additional context you gave though! Maybe it could help a little.
