Some updates to the 'Curated Lists' feature

Our ‘Curated Lists’ feature has received some neat updates! They are as follows:

  • Lists will now default to ‘private’ when first created, and will need to be manually switched to ‘public’ if they’re meant to be shared with others. (You may want to double-check your own Lists to confirm whether they’re set to the visibility that you’d like for them.)

  • You can now make up to 10 Lists, and each list can now include up to 50 stories. (This may help a few users who’ve had to break up their Lists into Part 1 and Part 2 due to the previous limit of 30 stories per List.)

  • You can now see when a List was last updated, and also the date of when a story was added to that List.

  • When viewing an individual story from its series page, you can now click to show all the Lists that the story has been added to. Please note: this includes private Lists as well! You won’t be able to view the Private lists yourself, but you will still see the List’s name and the List’s summary, which will give context as to why that story was added to the List. (So do be aware that no List is fully private in the way that one’s Bookmarked Stories, for example, are private.)

Love this change, immediately went to check if/where any of my stories are in any lists with fun names. (Like how some spotify playlists have absolutely unhinged names)

Minor typo on the all curated lists page, says 10 lists of 5 stories each, instead of 50.

Thanks for pointing out the wrong number of entries per curated list. The typo not just affected the text on screen but also the actual enforced limit.

I’ve just uploaded a fix.

I did exactly the same thing, seeing some of my stories in lists was a nice dopamine hit!
