These are the rules for stories submitted to the site. These rules are also listed on the site itself, via the story-submission screen. Most of these rules are identical across all the hub sites, but each hub (Kinky, Spiral, Collar, Cupid) has a few of its own special rules too, for its particular category of stories. These specific rules can be found at the top of each site’s rule listing. The rest of the rules are the same.

Occasionally the rules may be lightly updated to clarify wording, but in these cases the spirit of the rules will remain unchanged. If a rule is ever updated in a big way, there’ll be a site newsflash to let everyone know first.

The majority of the rules is the same for all four sites. These are:

Not allowed

  • Realistic situations must avoid non-consensual methods of coercion. Non-con is only allowed in fantastical scenarios.
    • No realistic usage of real drugs as primary method of coercion
    • No violent force or rape as method of coercion
    • No realistic coercion of minors under 16 by adults or guardians
    • No realistic bestiality
  • No sexual or kink depiction of children / young teens.
    • Any kind of description of pre-puberty attributes (high-pitched voices, dry orgasms, undescended testicles) is explicitly banned
  • No glorification of bigotry outside of a kink context.
  • No excessive violence.
    • Detailed and descriptive bloody violent scenes
    • Gore
    • Snuff
    • Extremely painful or harmful torture
  • No posting someone else’s story without their consent.

Required

  • At least 1000 words per story / chapter
  • At least 3 days have to pass before new chapters in the same series can be published.
  • At least 14 days have to pass before an author can publish another new series or single-chapter story.
  • Adequate text formatting
    • Use frequent paragraph breaks (insert an empty line to separate paragraphs)
    • Clearly mark first person speech. Generally, a new paragraph is started when a person starts to speak
    • No walls-of-text

Special Cases

  • Usage of AI assistance
  • Teaser-stories continued behind a paywall
    • If you want to publish a teaser for a story which can only be fully accessed through a paywall, use the Sponsored Stories feature.
    • Promotional links (to Patreon or other paysites) as part of complete stories are fine.
  • Non-English stories
    • We can only approve non-English stories if we have approvers fluent in that language. The list is here.
  • Images embedded or linked in stories
    • If your story contains visible images, please tag it with ‘contains images’
    • Tag AI-generated images with ‘contains AI images’
    • Every person shown in the image has to be (or appear to be) 18 or older
The admin team reserves the right to deny any story if it’s not deemed appropriate for the site.

Site specific rules

GayKinkyStories

  • This site is for erotic fiction stories about male-identifying characters. It’s a hub for our three erotica sites, but is also a home for stories about kinks that aren’t covered by our other sites.
  • For BDSM-focused stories, switch to GayCollarStories; mind control or TF stories belong to GaySpiralStories. For straightforward erotica or romance, switch to GayCupidStories.

GayCupidStories

  • This site is for character- or relationship-driven erotic stories between male-identifying characters.
  • Select GayCupidStories as your primary site if your story doesn’t feature a kink focus.
  • For kink-themed stories, select the appropriate site instead.
  • Kinky stories with a romantic touch can also use GayCupidStories as a secondary site.
  • Stories about young teenage romance and first love need to be placed in the Coming of Age category.

GaySpiralStories

  • This site is focused on stories about male-identifying characters involved in erotic mind-control, hypnosis, reality change, or transformation.
  • Most stories here are intentionally unrealistic. They are impossible fantasies that can’t happen in real life. They often involve fantastical loss of control or nonconsent.
  • In rare cases of realistic stories, depicted characters must consent to their erotic experiences.

GayCollarStories

  • This site is focused on stories about male-identifying characters and realistic (or semi-realistic) BDSM kinks.
  • The Non-consensual category
    • This is the only category where non-consensual but semi-realistic stories (such as mass-enslavement) may be placed. These stories must be sufficiently unrealistic so that they still feel highly improbable in real life.
    • If BDSM kinks are not the primary focus of a non-con story, use GaySpiralStories as the primary site and GayCollarStories as the secondary site.
  • The Consensual Nonconsent category
    • Use this category for stories where the primary focus is on characters willingly forfeiting their right to consent.
  • All other categories on their own imply realistic BDSM stories, which require full consent in a mutually agreed-upon context.

  • Please keep submissions on theme; your story should feature romantic, sexual, and/or kinky interactions between male-identified characters, generally in a gay context.
  • Be sure to select the proper publishing ‘hub’ site for your story. Refer to the sites’ descriptions to find the one that fits best. Note that you can cross-post to several of our ‘hub’ sites if your story fits more than one of them!
  • Non-consensual aspects must involve fantastical methods of change/control. The primary or central method of coercion cannot involve realistic ‘methods’ such as named drugs or substances.
  • No sex or manipulation/hypnosis involving children or young teens.
  • All relevant characters must be depicted as sexually mature.
  • Stories that glorify or encourage bigotry (racism, homophobia, etc.) outside of a kink context are strongly discouraged and only approved at the discretion of the site.
  • No hard violence, blood, gore, or snuff. No mutilations, no dismemberment.
  • Non-fantastical depictions of bestiality are not permitted. Fantastical contexts (furries, shifters, monsters, aliens, etc.) are permitted by default unless they hew too closely to non-fantastical depictions or contexts.
  • The story must be yours. Do not repost someone else’s story here. Email the original author and ask them to post it instead.
  • Please format your story so that it is readable (e.g., avoid no-paragraph, wall-of-text submissions).
  • Your story must be at least 1000 words long.
  • No ‘teaser’ stories where the ending is paywalled (such as behind a Patreon), unless using the Sponsored Story funding perk. Full rules on this policy are here.

  • All relevant characters must be depicted as sexually mature.
  • Stories that glorify or encourage bigotry (racism, homophobia, etc.) outside of a kink context are strongly discouraged and only approved at the discretion of the site.

  • For all realistic BDSM scenarios, characters in the story must consent to what is happening to them.
  • Realistic consensual nonconsent stories (aka, stories with characters willingly forfeiting their right to not consent) can only be submitted in the consensual nonconsent category. Parallels to realistic sexual abuse, drugging, or violence are not allowed.
  • Non-consensual stories (e.g., slavery, kidnapping) must be sufficiently fictional and unrealistic in tone, and posted in the non-consensual category. Stories with fantastical methods of loss of control should be cross-posted to Spiral and follow the Spiral rules.
  • No sex or BDSM-related interactions involving children or young teens.

  • No sex or romance involving children or prepubescent teens.
  • All relevant characters must be depicted as sexually mature.
