What is a Sponsored Story
As part of helping crowdfund to cover our monthly hosting expenses, we provide a once-a-month perk to members who donate $10 a month or more via our funding page. This perk is being able to post a Sponsored Story once a month, which will be pinned to the top of the site’s front page for 7 days.
Sponsored Stories aren’t just pinned to the top of the site for 7 days—they’re also permitted to be ‘teaser’ stories too.
Normally, our site rules don’t allow ‘teaser’ stories, where you need to pay (such as on Patreon or Amazon) to read the rest of the story. So this perk also allows authors to advertise their paywalled stories with a Sponsored Story teaser, while also clearly marking it as such for readers.
Links to Amazon or to some other site (e.g. Patreon), where a potential customer can buy your product, will be placed at the end of the teaser story:
How to place a Sponsored Story
You don’t need to be a recurring month-by-month supporter to post a Sponsored Story. If you’d like, you can sign up for the Advertising Tier for just one month, place a Sponsored Story that month, and then unsubscribe. In this way, you could treat it like a one-time fee to Sponsor your story.
Each author is only allowed one Sponsored Story a month.
Please note this goes by calendar month. So you could do one Sponsored Story on June 30 and another on July 1, and this would be fine. It’s alright so long as they’re posted on separate months.
The story will be pinned to the top of the page for 7 days after it is published. Please note that the 7 days are counted from the day it actually hits the front page, not the date you first submit it… so don’t worry, you will get a full 7 days, no matter what day it gets published. 
After the 7 days have passed, the story will get ‘un-pinned’ and will start to scroll down the front page, together with the rest of the normal stories. And it will remain on the site as a story unless you ask us to remove it.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are submitting your story as a Sponsored Story, you must fill out the Sponsored Story fields to define the way your story is displayed. The fields are all explained when you select the Sponsored Story option (hover the mouse over the small info button). But if you have any questions about how to fill them out, you can write an email to admin@gaykinkystories.com and our mod team will be happy to assist you.
Then save your story, and make sure that everything looks the way you want it to (you can make any number of changes using the “Edit” function). Once you’re happy, click “Publish”.
We will check if everything is in order, and then approve your story, usually within 48 hours. If there are issues, we will write an email (please make sure to give us a valid email address, so we can reach you).
